Suprise St. George Trip

 First I have to say I am a major slacker!  This blob was supposed to be my way to journal our fun and crazy life.  Well when your computer breaks and it takes 6 months for you to take it in to get fixed it doesn't work so well.  So over the next few days I am going to try to update the last 6 months. 

We decided to surprise the boys one morning and went to St. George to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Brooks.  We woke them up and put them in the car and said we were going to breakfast.  We went to our favorite Kneader's and had their yummy French toast.  Poor Cade had a sore throat and a slight fever but we gave him some meds and away we went.  We let the boys guess where we were going and finally they got it and were so so excited!

 When we got there we drove past the apartment Trent and I had when we lived there.  It was so weird to see and it didn't seem like it had been 10 years since then.  We stopped at this park to let the boys run and get some energy out before we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's

 LOVE to see the swans at Grandma and Grandpa's.  The famous Tank and Teresa are no longer there.  Dallin still remembers them.  On our last trip there Tank was very grumpy and was trying to attack us.  But these swans were not so naughty :)

 We stopped at the St. George temple and went to the visitors center which we have never done so it was really fun.  The only thing was Cade was getting sicker and sicker as the day went on.  We thought his face had gotten sun burned during the day because it was so red and so was his neck.  When we got back to our hotel that night and changed into jammies we noticed a huge rash all over his arms, chest, back, face and neck.  It was late so we went to bed and took him to the instacare first thing in the morning.  He was positive for a bad case of strep that gave him scarlet fever (hence the rash).  He got meds and then we stopped one last time to say goodbye to Great Grandma and Grandpa.

I am so very grateful for my wonderful grandparents and the many many fun memories they have given me.  So many of the traditions I want my boys to have were started by these two.  I am so happy my boys have a chance to know them too.
